CENGIZ ACARTURK

Cengiz Acarturk was assigned as an ICANN ambassador on Universal Acceptance (UA) in 2020. His current research interests cover topics at the interaction between cybersecurity and cybercognition, as well as human factors in cybersecurity and Natural Language Processing (NLP). He supervises graduate students and teach courses in cognitive science (on visual cognition, psychology of reading), in cyber security (on information security and cyber systems, human factors in cyber physical systems), as well as on topics that overlap between the two departments (artificial intelligence and machine learning). He was a postdoctoral fellow at MLDC Microsoft Language Development Center, Microsoft Portugal, Lisbon (2011-2012). Since 2012, he has been a faculty member at METU Informatics Institute, in Cognitive Science and Cybersecurity Graduate Programs. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, and Cognitive Science Society.
