CHARLES SHABAN

Charles Shaban is a Senior Consultant in Internet policy at the International Trademark Association in the Middle East and North Africa. He is experienced in intellectual property services, data governance, digital rights, and developing and implementing Internet policy strategies.

Shaban currently serves on the Global Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Group for 2025. He was previously Chair of the Multistakeholder Advisory Group – Program Committee at the Arab Internet Governance Forum from 2015 to 2022, and he served on ICANN’s Country Code Names Supporting Organization Council in 2007. He also co-authored an ICANN DNS study focused on the Middle East and adjoining countries.
