Christine Arida has over 30 years of experience in Internet development, telecom regulations, and digital public policies. She has been an appointed board member of the National Telecom Regulatory Authority of Egypt (NTRA) since November 2021. During her work at NTRA, Ms. Arida has led several strategic projects.
Ms. Arida is an appointed member of Egypt’s Supreme Council for Culture, Committee for Digital Culture and Cultural Infrastructure since 2021. She is a leading expert on Internet governance, and has represented the government of Egypt at the U.N. Internet Governance Forum Multistakeholder Advisory Group (IGF MAG) since 2007, and the Governmental Advisory Committee of the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers since 2017. Ms. Arida is co-founder of the Arab Internet Governance Forum, a board member and founding member of the Internet Society Chapter of Egypt, and a founding member of the African Network Information Centre (AfriNIC).
