Nabil Benamar is a professor of computer sciences at Moulay Ismail University in Meknes, Morocco and also at Al Akhawayn University in Ifrane, Morocco. Currently, Nabil serves as the Vice Chair of the Universal Acceptance Steering Group (UASG) and as the Chair of the UASG Measurement Working Group. He is recognized as an expert in IPv6 and regularly conducts IPv6 training with multiple international organizations.
Nabil’s expertise in Internet governance was honed through his completion of the Internet Society (ISOC) Next Generation e-Learning Programme. He has also been actively involved in various capacities, such as serving as an ISOC Ambassador to the Internet Governance Forum (IGF), a Google panelist at the first Arab-IGF, an ISOC Fellow to the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF), and an ICANN Fellow. Additionally, Nabil is a member of the Arabic Generation Panel and currently chairs the Task Force for Arabic Internationalized Domain Names.
