SAMI MOHAMED ALI

Sami Mohamed Ali joined the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) of the Kingdom of Bahrain in 2018. A veteran of the telecom and Internet industries with more than 16 years of experience, he helped complete the legal processes for launching Bahrain’s .bh and IDN ccTLD .البحرين. This work included securing the IANA delegation, transitioning .bh from a single registrar model to a multi-registrar registry, developing operational policies, and overseeing the technical move from the legacy system to a new registry platform. In February 2024, Sami was elected Treasurer of the APTLD Board of Directors.
